Why do atheists spend so much time discussing God/Religion?

For something they don't believe in or have an affinity with why do they waste so much of their time/lives on the subject?

The irony is they like to try and come across as being so much more intellectual than the christians and yet their actions speak volumes of their own lazy mindedness,


I've heard many an atheist decry get a life to the religious masses.

Perhaps it's time they took their own advice :)

As a christian, it is my personal belief that there is a need for an ultimate being greater than yourself. Even if they deny it, they have the need, as they try to get away from it, they will try everything to get over it. But this is impossible, so Atheists will try to find reasons that any type of christianity is flawed.
 
If religionists kept their deluded beliefs to themselves there wouldn't be any need for discussion. But for as long as religionists believe that their beliefs entitles them to impose their delusions on others in such matters as biblical myth being taught as fact in schools, birth control, abortion, sexuality and government in general then atheists will regard it as essential that this lunacy is countered by rational and reasoned argument
 
In the hopes of promoting its eventual destruction and discrediting, naturally.
 
because we christians like to talk about what we believe and they have a problem with it
 
lol they think bitching about Christians on the internet is going to turn the government in favor of them. What a joke. What can you not afford? There has always been a Christian at the helm and The US is the most prosperous nation ever!
