why do americans give their kids bizarre names like toyota and alopecia?

Not only americans give strange names to their kids!!
English do too!! I think they think that it sounds.... "posh"?? lol
I don't know.
 
i have met and heard of japanese people named toyota, honda, kawasaki, mitsubishi, aiwa, casio, yamaha etc
 
Toyota?

COME ON at least have some respect for your kid and name them Mercedes, or Alexis, or Porsche. At least a luxury car.
