Why do americans complain about illegals taking jobs when....?

most of those jobs that illegals take are jobs that americans wouldnt want to do anyways?

Im not arguing for illigal immigration, i just find it ironic how people cry about the jobs being lost but even if the jobs were availible, how many americans do you think will fill them? (construction, farming, etc)

just a simple question
Im not defending illegal immigration. I dont like illegals either because its a insult to my realitives who took the steps to come to this country legally
 
why do americans hire illegals? is it because they want as much work as they can get for the lowest possible price? why are americans selling out americans? why is wak mart and every other major department store filled with chinese goods? because the corps and the business owners even down to the drywall contractor in alabama don't give a damm about you. the bottom line is the only thing that counts in this country. welcome to the global economy. prepare to get screwed.
 
Dont even go there again! I am so fed up with this BS. The problem with illegals is the strain on our economy. They get food stamps, medical care, can drive with no license or insurance, need I go further?
Dont talk to me either about them doing jobs Americans wont do.
I have worked in tobacco before but do you think I can get a job doing that now? NO because I cant feed my family on what farmers pay the illegals. God I am so POed.
 
I really dont know. I mean many immigrants are being exploited because bosses know they can do so. I just hate that many when in doubt blame illegal immigration. I mean i dont like illegal immigration or anything becayse i dont think its fair that people have to go through the entire process when some take years to go through legally. but those all those jobs that people say illegal immigrants take are really nothing many want to do. Maybe the factory workers who are in desperate need of job will start doing those kinds of jobs but at least they will get paid right. Also the other unemployed people such as college graduates who cant find jobs in their feild would probably never want to do something like pick oranges. Its a complicated situation and i hate when people simplify it to that much of the problem is that illegal immigrants are stealing all the jobs.
 
I worked for a contracting company for 8 years, and I can tell you that the premise of your question isn't accurate. We had 6 contractors at our company, and they were all legal citizens of the States. Four of them had children. Obviously, they were willing to do the job because they were there. But we had a competitor whose employees were almost all illegal immigrants. The result? They would bid half as much for a job as we could afford to because their costs were so much less than ours. Fortunately for us, they moved to another location, and so we didn't have to worry about it again. But we lost a good amount of work to that company. Thankfully, the damage wasn't permanent.
 
I have a whole family of construction workers who would love to work. Too bad they can't find jobs because the illegals are willing to work for pennies on the dollar.
 
First of all they broke the law by entering this country without going through the process of becoming legal citizens. Thus they should get the Uncle Sam's boot. First impressions mean a lot to most Americans and the illegals first expression was a broken law.
 
That is a false statement.

Living in atlanta, I saw how tens of thousands of construction jobs went from taxpaying workers to illegal workers.
I also saw in the restaurant business how illegals took all the jobs cooking.

Illegals take jobs that americans want...don't believe their propaganda.

But I do agree that not many americans would pick produce so they can have those jobs.
 
I agree. I've worked in the construction field and have heard amost the men I worked with complain about illegal Mexicans taking jobs. And, of course, those complaining quit because the pay is low or the work is hard.

Cry me a river and get off your lazy ass America. Do something productive for a change.
 
You have some proof that Americans wont do those jobs?

They end up with jobs that teens do. Working in stores, restaurants, and landscaping. Construction is a job that adults will do except the wages have been driven down to the point where you cant make a living at it.
 
this sounds like the joke which came first the chicken or the egg?
frankly I think they started taking jobs and there had been upward mobility for those jobs that you say americans didn't want which I find it funny that now are citizens are wanting those jobs and people are crying for the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. send them back home and let's find out who wants those jobs. give americans the opportunity instead of those here breaking our laws in the first place

Also, many illegals see their jobs here as a way out of the miserable poverty they live in back home, so they work hard. Many employers say their illegal workers are the best ones they have. They hire illegals because they get (they say) better workers for at least a third less cost. That’s a deal they can’t refuse.
