Why do a lot of girls who are into sports have deeper voices than other girls?

Why do a lot of girls who are into sports have deeper voices than other girls?


I'm obviously not saying this applies to EVERY girl who plays sports. But I have noticed that a lot of really sporty girls have deeper/more guy-ish voices?

And not just the way they talk, it's their actual voice...
