I don't know about the rest of you but I though she was brilliant in her role as Daisy. She really did age well and gave the overall best performance, way better than Brad. She could at least get a nomination. what do you think, and what were your dissapoints at the BAFTAs.

And also, it would of been nice to see Milk win something.

I agree she was a lot better than Pitt ... a LOT better.

That said, I don't think she deserved an Oscar nod, I don't think Benjamin Button did at all ... but all the female nominees at the BAFTAs were stronger than Blanchett in Button.

EDIT: and about Milk ... I think Sean Penn should have gotten best actor.

Her performance in Button like everyone elses was ok.
The movie itself while ok is so overrated.
I watched it yesterday, and don't plan to watch it again for a long time.

The movie was terrible, Brad was average at best and Cate let herself down compared to previous work. I'm sure she will learn from this though to never work with pretty boys who can't act again. Stick to proper actors as co stars Cate.

Blanchett's one of my fave actors, but I didn't expect her to get any major noms. for her role in Benjamin Button... Loved the movie, and thought she turned in a v. solid performance.. However, it wasn't one of the most demanding roles she's taken on and her appearances were relatively brief..

I felt on leaving the cinemas that if there had been more focus on the end of Benjamin's life - dementia etc - and we saw Daisy trying to cope with that, Cate would have got a nomination.

Instead, all we got was a rushed 10 minutes.
