when iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and usa had no physical evidence that "weapons of mass distruction" were being developed in iraq so what was the point of starting a war that killed thousands of inocent iraqi people and 5000 U.S soldiers what did usa really "gain" from this war BESIDES OIL>:
ok yea saddam hussein was an issue but they killed him 3 years ago why couldnt they pull out after that, wasnt that their primary objective

I get tired of answering this question but most of you need the education, so listen up there sally!

WE didn't start the war in Iraq. The world coalition did formed by the WORLD and the US Congress in order to enforce the restrictions placed on Iraq and Saddam from the United Nations, of which they are a part of. There were some 20 Resolutions slated against Iraq including the No Fly Zone that was continuously violated. This is the reason why the Coalition went to war. The WMD's were a separate issue, and though the left in the States hate to admit it even though it was widely reported, even by CNN, WMD's were found, both biological and Chemical still intact and on warheads. No Nuclear ones were.

The Coalition didn't go to war for oil, never has never would, and we never got any, and still haven't got any. Instead of puking our the left wing nut mantra why not do some research instead before showing all of us your ignorance!

That is a good question.
Saddam Hussein broke 17 U.N. resolutions, was suspected of making weapons during the Clinton administration, more than once he refused to allow U.N. inspectors in when suspected of making those weapons, holding the U.N. off unto they were scheduled to go in by force within days, he would stall them.
It is possible that he made and sent weapons to his allies(which would have cut into ternaults profits, they were a french arms dealer that Bush jr and Osama bin laden had investments in).
We have found a missile engine in syria made in Iraq and barrels of mustard and saran gas in Iraq, about 500 of them.
The final straw was when Saddam Hussein refused to allow the U.S. to use it's borders to launch an invasion into Afghanistan.
You also have to realize when you go to war with Islamic terrorist, it is not one little group in one little country, it is the entire middle east. Our problems have only started, had just "left them alone" you would have seen a lot more 911's in this country since then.
Had we just "pulled out" after we got saddam hussein out of the way, his cronies would have moved right back in and you'd have the same problem all over again.

they couldn't pull out cuz he kicked over a bees nest dude, the military in iraq didnt have the power to be able to police the country and we didnt want to pull out and leave the coutnry in complete turmoil. it would have made us look even worse as a country. i dont believe we should have invaded iraq like we did at the time but you cant dwindle on the past, complete troop pull out is happening as we speak and we will completley be out by 2011.

Iraq has oil. Also, President Bush had a personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein for trying to kill his dad. Paranoia over 9/11 was just a convenient excuse.
