You remember, Democrats were so eager to investigate Bush era torture, "wherever it leads."
Then it led to Pelosi, because she was involved in waterboarding.
Then suddenly everybody forgot all about Bush era torture.
Why did that happen?
C B, there was. The Democrats are to blame.
The Glass-Steagall Act was repealed by the 1999 Gramm-Leach-Bliley banking deregulation act, which passed with overwhelming majorities of both parties in both houses of Congress, then it was eagerly signed into law by Bill Clinton. The 2008 meltdown was attributed directly to this law.

Holder Appoints Special Counsel to ‘Review’ Torture Cases
Aug 24th, 2009
"Attorney General Eric Holder appointed a special prosecutor Monday to conduct a “preliminary review” of about a dozen cases of torture involving “war on terror” detainees carried out during the Bush administration’s tenure in office. Those cases had been previously closed by Justice Department attorneys for unknown reasons.
"Holder named John Durham, a federal prosecutor from Connecticut who was appointed in early 2008 to investigate whether crimes were committed related to the destruction of more than 90 interrogation tapes, to lead the inquiry."
Since then, NOTHING. The case has vanished from the news.
