Why did Peter and Paul argue about how to treat gentiles...?

if both were being led by the same holy spirit? That being said, maybe one of them wasn't being led by the holy spirit. If that's the case, how do you know whether or not they were ever led by the holy spirit?
 
They were being led by the same holy spirit, but they aren't the same persons with the same understandings...Everyone learns, that is what the holy spirit is for as you mature in your faith..
 
Peter wanted them to cut off something that a grown man doesn't want cut. Paul said, "Peter that's no way to take this scam international. Think of the marketing damn it."
