Why did people think Michael Jackson was all weird before he died, but now he's...

...some kind of legend? Lots of people were saying he molested children and went all weird. But, now, after he dies, he's now all of a sudden, some kind of hero and legend. Why?

I still think he was weird.
As for being a "legend" he was even before his death.
A hero? Not in my book.
And I'm getting tired of all the media coverage...

It's the cool thing to like him now, before if you liked him you were freak. I always thought he was an amazing performer and in the early days he was a pretty good looking guy. Then he turned into a total loony toon and, although I respect him as a performer, I still think the guy was a freak. On the same note, I think that child molestation accusation was total bs, always did but it totally killed his career. No one in Hollywood wanted to associate themselves with him after that and now here they all are at his funeral like they had so much respect for the guy. Right. But Hollywood is as fake as it gets.
I do feel for his family and especially his kids though because I think they, truly, have suffered a huge loss and were probably the only people who didn't turn on him when the going got weird.

I have no idea why these people have gotten on the bandwagon. Jackson is neither a hero or a legend. If anything, he was an embarrassment; and I sincerely believe he should have gone to jail for his crimes against children.
