...(Star Wars)? Why did Chancellor Palpatine have to make the Republic and Trade Federation fight each other if he is the leader of both? I'm really confused, guys.
The Republic doesn't know that Palpatine was the true leader of Trade Federation. The main reason for that is Palpatine wants to have full control on the Republic. The war was only a diversion to get at the back of the Jedi.
