Why did my fish live for 45 minutes out of water?

He didn't flop but he lived wierd!!!!!! lolz
i have know idea my friend pushed it shes mean!!
she pushed the bowl hes a chinease kong fu fish
 
He might of had water around him, or in his system. Also why would you have him outside of water and watched him for 45minutes! That's animal cruelty!!!
