Ok, I am on the contraceptive injection (Depo-Provera) and it delayed my period by 2 weeks. When it came it was lighter than normal and by the end couple of days it was more just a brown discharge and only a little over the whole day.
I assumed my period had stopped because there was no discharge in the morning (monday) and in the afternoon I had sex (it was only my second time having sex, but didn't bleed the first time and have used tampons for 7 years). However, during sex I bled, not totally gushing but there was quite a bit, enough for us both to notice.
It stopped after sex and there was only a slight red stain on the paper after a wiped and then it returned to brown discharge. When I had sex it was only the day after my period was due to finish. I am still getting some brown discharge but I am concerned why I bled during sex even though my period had basically finished. Do think it was anything do to with my period or my birth control or something else? Do you think now that the discharge has stopped I will bleed the next time I have sex? Please help, I am scared to have sex again. I have an appointement at the sexual health clinic on monday but I want to try and put my mind at rest a bit before then. Thanks. xx
