Why did Europe become secular in culture?

Europe was once the bastion of Christianity. However, most of Europe has fallen into secular belief. Europeans, if the reports on religious observance are true, do not believe in faith as they once did. What is the reason for this?
 
I think you meant have become more enlightened rather than the pejorative fallen. Because Europe was mostly a top down society and attitudes percolated down in those societies. Most educated aristocrats never really believed in god and after the enlightenment god didn't really serve any purpose any more, it didn't keep the plebs in line. So gradually they just gave up on the idea of god as it seemed more unlikely as society became more educated.
 
Good question, and the Bible has the answer. First off, the Bible tells us when the end times begin; 2,520 years after the fall of Jerusalem. That is in 1914.

Then, in the Bible, we find this;

2 Timothy 3:1 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2Â*For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3Â*having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4Â*betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5Â*having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 6Â*For from these arise those men who slyly work their way into households and lead as their captives weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, 7Â*always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

If you read the above closely, you will see our time spelled out quite well. I think that the verse 5 explains most of the reasons; having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power;
 
Because it's helping stop wars and anti-religion. Which is the exact opposite of America.
