Why did both George W. Bush and Barack Obama run against war and then become...

Barack Obama said back in 2007 that if he was elected president, the first thing he would do would be to end the war. Instead, troops remain in Iraq and he has escalated the Afghan War.

George W. Bush ran against the Clinton-Gore nation-building in 2000 and also advocated a "more humble" foreign policy.

If you don't believe me, watch the videos. Having looked back at videos of George W. Bush, both as a candidate and as president, I am reminded of Obama (however, I think Obama is probably even worse).

Since neither the Democrats nor the Republicans will keep their word, isn't it time to stop voting for these 2 parties?
Obama wasn't promoting Afghan warmongering until the Convention last year. Obama sold out on foreign policy in stages.

By the way, I don't see how anybody can actually believe that presidents have better information than what we do. It is an established historical fact that readers of the New York Times knew more about the events going on in Vietnam during that War than President Nixon did. Presidents tend to be misinformed as the bureaucracies that "inform" them need to justify their own existence. It is also well documented that most members of Congress were misinformed about the government's own intelligence reports (which debunked the WMD lie) in the leadup to the 2nd Iraq War. Nowadays, most people in Washington are misinformed about their own intelligence regarding Iran, which debunks the war propaganda for that upcoming war.
