I'm new to HTML and am trying to make a website using textedit. I have no domain or host(I know my site won't be in public until I do get a domain and a host). But I don't quite understand it all yet.
I began looking up hosting sites and came across a host called "FatCow." I looked around a bit and it seemed like there were tools to do everything (such as adding backgrounds, links, pictures, and all that other stuff.) If you have a host like that, what is the use of knowing HTML? Can you even use HTML on your site if you use those hosts?
