The food will be delicious but the menu won't change very often because every new entree added to the menu will need to pass a House vote and a Senate vote and be debated in committees so it will take a long time
I want there to be a diner or restaurant you can eat where the owner of the restaurant is the United States Federal Government.
I want all the restaurant owners to be Government Employees and get paid $25.00 per hour each.
All customers can pay for their food according to his/her ability. So if you are poor, you can show you are poor and then not have to pay.
To make up for any losses, the Government would raise taxes on the richest 1% of Americans if necessary keep the restaurant from going out of business.
Why can't we support this restaurant? I bet the food would be good. The service wait times will be longer because it's government-run, but other than that it would be good.
I mean all restaurant workers would get paid $25.00 per hour whether they sweep the floor or take orders
Obviously I'm for Government health insurance. This is just a lower priority experiment to try just to spike up some political heat.
bwlobo that's the bar stool example. And you didn't finish it, you left out the last 2 sentences. These aren't my words, but someone used this before on one of my earlier posts. The last 2 sentences:
"If you understand this example, no explanation is needed. If you don't understand, no explanation is possible."
