Why can't I delete pictures off my blackberry curve 8330?

Perhaps this isn't the best method to ask this question, but for some reason i cannot delete pictures of my blackberry 8330 using the handheld. The only way i can do it is to connect it to a computer. My girlfriend has the same phone, and she can delete her pictures. when i follow the exact same steps and routes as she does, I end up missing menu options.
Has anyone had this same problem?
 
backup your data and reinstall the operating system sometimes you get these strange glitchy issues i have a storm 2 my calls that i were on could never end and they were stuck I did a master reset and reinstalled the operating system no problems since. No rhyme or reason to these type of problems.
