Why can't I control my eating?

Yesterday-
9:00 a.m. - a peanut butter sandwich and a bag of grapes
3:00 p.m. - half a carton of ice cream...purge
5:00 - swam 20 laps at the gym
8:00 - a plate of fried eggplant with lots of cheese and other fats

I actually lost weight yesterday but only because I purged.

Today:
2:30 p.m. - 1 cup of pumpkin ice cream and 1 sugar free pudding cup (300 calories total)
3:00 - 2 chocolate bars (620 calories)
5:00 - a pastrami sandwich
AND I WANT MORE! I'm about to go get more! Yet I do not want to become bulimic, and I don't want to throw up. But why am I a failure, and why can't I stick to anything?
