I replaced the stereo in my 1999 Honda Civic EX with a new Alpine and then was unable to remote lock or arm the car and the dome light would stay on all the time unless I switched it off.
Well as I've been searching out a fix for this odd problem and just leaving the dome light off and key locking the car, last night arriving at a club I accidentally found that I can now remote lock and arm the car and the dome light goes out like normal too! It fixed itself somehow! Anyone know why?
I've come across many Civic owners with the exact same problem that I had, but mine normalized somehow.
