Why can I not run flash and java based programs?

Woah!!! It seems like you're going CRAZY!!
Don't take matters to the extent that make you panic and go crazy. What you can do is download the latest versions of Abode Flash Player and also Java.
Get Adobe Flash Player from here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Get Java from here: http://www.java.com/en/
Good luck!!

Oh yeah, and reboot after the installations.

I've tried running things such as youtube videos, full screen online games, and even simple mp3 files via windows media player. Nothing will run. The programs freeze up, and do not do anything at all. I run my laptop on Windows 7, and I am connected to the internet through a wireless router (wtr160n linksys or something to that nature).I have tried everything I can think of. I have run everything as administrator, disconnected all other wireless electronics, even connected my laptop straight to the router and modem with a Ethernet cord. I have a feeling that it is my internet service provider not supplying me with enough bandwidth, but I am not sure. Maybe one could inform me of an alternate idea and fix, or reinforce my hypothesis.
Also I have updated java and flash to their most resent versions. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both programs, too.
