Why can EVERYTHING in the world be debated but the Holocaust?

You can call God, Jesus anyone anything in the world, without facing political repercussions.

Even in the US, if you openly say you are a holocaust REVISIONIST, the media comes out and says you are a holocaust DENIER.

David Cole (a Jew converted to Atheist) was threatened with death by the JDL for his findings in Auschwitz, and for his interview with Dr Piper. He had to apologize to the Zionists for his findings, even know they were not refuted in any way. There are a bunch of other examples such as David Cole's.

If the Holocaust is indisputable, why do governments feel the need for brute force and not logic to overpower these claims?

We DON'T argue a lot of facts, such as black slavery and stuff, but that does not mean we CAN'T argue them. We can have a differing view on a lot of issues and FACTS in everything in the world (except the holocaust), but will not face repercussions.

Wow. I'm shocked anyone you be so stupid. Did you drop out of school in the third grade? Or are you some Nazi?

Because Jews are very sensitive about their past and present situation. Don't get me wrong, Holocaust denial is absolute nonsense, but the Jews do get rights that no other group of people get.
A person in my family goes to Portland State University, and is taking an international studies class. She is also learning Arabic. Obviously this means things might be said about Israel in this course. There is an entire committee run by a wealthy Jewish family who gives a lot of money to the school that patrols the classrooms making sure that nothing critical is said of Israeli politics.
In a public university, that is absolutely insanity.
A teacher for the department was denied a job because he was critical of Israeli policy.
I am in no way an anti-Semite, but some of the things Israeli lobbyists get away with make me sick.

It is simply disrespectful to even CONTEMPLATE the idea of such a thing being fictional... it has already been proven by primary sources so why is there even a reason to TRY and prove it if that has already been done. Anyone who aims to disprove the Holocaust or denies it is dealing with an extremely touchy subject involving countless lost lives... it is a subject that should be left alone.

It's Political Correctness.

Personally, while I disagree entirely with the holocaust deniers, I also support the right to free speech.

I partially agree. The Holocaust did happen but there isn't really solid evidence on the correct amount of people that died. Now that is questionable.

Although there is no denial that the Holocaust did happen, and there are evidence that support this.

The Holocaust is still a fresh wound for some although it has had some time to heal. But to answer your first sentence, the Holocaust was actually real.

But in essence I agree, just because there are people willing to do crazy shit for no reason, you can't sacrifice your freedom just to suit their crazy wants.

Do you seriously want to go up to the thousands of soldiers, and surviving prisoners, and tell them their suffering was not real? Their wounds are fake? Their tattoos meaningless?

I work in a library in Scotland and children read or can read all they want about the holocaust and openly discuss it. We do not deny knowledge and trust people to believe or make their own minds up. I often wonder why it is the Palestinians who are suffering what the Jews suffered are ignored and brutalised by said Jews.

Anything someone is not willing to debate is something they have no interest in finding the truth about. This is why secular democracy is best, because there is generally an atmosphere of free debate. I would question anyone who said the holocaust didn't happen, but I see no reason to assume it had to happen the way the JDL says it did.

What real difference does it make? I never cared for political correctness, in the very least. I am not a holocaust denier. But, on the same token, as an evangelical Christian, I catch a lot of heat for the Crusades. The Crusades were instigated by the Catholic Church. And, for the most part, every other type of Christian disassociates themselves from Catholicism based on that and other things. No one catches the easy breaks, I suppose.

I feel that many people tell revisionist history when they blame ALL Christians for the Crusades. That was something that most other Christian groups wanted no part of, and yet happened to get blamed for. And, I couldn't care less what the governments view on the Crusades or the Holocaust is. At the end of the day, government is just a business. They get paid to do as they do. And, I am just fortunate that I am not in that position of power.

There are plenty of other idiots like Cole who write their books and sell their videos to neo-nazis. They still have freedom of speech, but that doesn't mean we have to listen or "respect" their views.
