The tee makes it easier to kick and elevates it. Plus when doing a kick-off you have 30 yards of accuracy (the width of the field) when kicking a field goal you have to kick it by ten feet, that's harder. Plus the kick is off the ground, dn't have much of a start and have to deal with blockers. Plus you don't wanna kick the holder and make an injury and bad hold.
