some one asked YA what is your favorite bible verse? my question is about the ratings thumbs up / down. why are the christians thumbs downing any answers that actually take a verse from the bible? i realize some answers are meant to be vicious and others aren't verses at all, but if you believe in god, and you also believe that the bible is gods word, then why does gods word offend you so much? do you think that god was joking when he wrote this? are you so arrogant that you feel morally superior to god? or perhaps one day you may realize that the bible was written by bronze age men frightened of the world around them . so they made up stories about how to live in their limited understanding of social ethics and morals.
again my question is why give a thumbs down to gods word ?
