No institutionalized killing has ever taken place in the name of demanding evidence for ridiculous, unfounded claims. And that's all atheism is: the demand that people provide evidence for ridiculous, unfounded claims.

Atheism is not a movement or an organisation, so can not be said to 'do' anything! But it is generally associated with secular humanism, which supports human rights and is opposed to dogma based oppression!
You mean christianism is harmful for human civilization right? I grew up with christians, that is why I am not one today. They taught me how not to act, what not to say, how not to be, by simple observing their own behavior.
Atheism simply does not believe in their horrific idea of their humanized entity and they are tired of having it crammed down their throats. Atheism exists so that the religious folks can lean on a little intelligence outside of their religous little box.
There's a great big world out there waiting to be discovered and not hid from behind the likes of religion.

7. atheist have no reason to hold predjudice or discrimination other than what they were brought up to think which every body has, but some religions are against homosexuality
8. all of these points are also possible in theists but less likely considering some theisms disapprove of these
