Why AT&T Not Releasing As Many Phones as Other Carriers?

I am becomming very uneased with AT&T. It appears that other carriers are turning out phone after phone. Even TMobile and CRICKET are pushing out interesting phones.

What is the deal with AT&T? all we've gotten so far is the ugly backflip and now the upcoming flipback! what thu...?

Seem that AT&T dropped out of business oriented smartphones and trying to catch new customrs with messaging phones focusing on Myspace,Facebook,Twitter, etc.

My guess is they're waiting. When other carriers stop releasing new phones AT&T will. It goes in cycles. It's obvious that these other carriers realized that what people want is smart phones and apps, and that's exactly what they're providing.
