Why aren't the chapters of the Quran put in proper chronological order?

details how later bits of the Quran are regarded as more important than earlier parts.

It would therefore make logical sense to arrange the Quran from the latest to earliest, so one might hear Mo's message from the most important to least important messages.

It is willful obscurantism? What's the historical context for the Quran being put together in such chaos?
