why aren't my digital photos quality so good with my new memory card ?

Hello.
I purchased a new memory card for my canon 12.1 mega pixels camera.

the old memory card was a KODAK 2 GB SD...
photos were so cleary crisp and excellent quality.....

the new memory card is a TRANSCEND 4 GB SD (HC)

please tell me why my photos are not as sharp and crisp now?
and is there a way I can increase the pixels or something on my camera to achieve the sharp quality I did with the other memory card?

There is something else going on, you've changed a setting or something, because the brand and type of memory card has absolutely nothing to do with image quality. It works, or it doesn't. If it works, then the camera itself has an issue of some sort.

All the card does is store a digital file of 1's and 0's, nothing more. The card doesn't care what those digits represent, all it does is store them. The device that writes the file controls the content, so look at your camera and find what you changed.
 
Doesn't sound right to me! That said, just for review: Set your camera for the maximum pixels while the card is in the camera. That is also the setting which has the least number of pictures available for the card in the camera. Also you may have used a slower shutter speed on your previous pictures. I just noticed the "HC" in your Transcend memory card description. Make sure your camera can take the "HC". If this info is not in your book, give Canon a call. Please make sure you have written down all your camera settings, including the one I suggested, before you call, so you are prepared.
