I don't want to generalise, but the majority of women I have met are really insecure about their weight etc and are obsessed with eating salad etc to be thin. I personally think women look better when they're slightly chubby! Seriously, because it makes them so huggable and nice to cuddle than those anorexic girls - which is like hugging a bag of bones.

So yeah any women insecure about their weight, I really don't think you have anything to worry about, its better you're healthy than to make yourself ultra thin to impress people...

Just my thoughts, but im curious as to why women are concerned about their weight?

We're insecure about our weight because it is jammed down our throats since we were born that we should look like barbie. I mean, do barbie dolls resemble most humans?! Plus the onslaught of celebrity worshipping makes it seem like celebs are the norm and the rest of us are ugly. It takes a lot of work to be confident in our bodies.
PLUS it doesn't help that most men even though they say they like regular girls still oogle any skinny girl or one with big boobs that walks by.

Have you ever watched a fashion show or looked in a fashion magazine?

Women do all the time, and they seem to have a bad habit of comparing themselves to super-thin(size 0 or double 0) models instead of the size 4-8+ models.

Because all the models are super-thin and girls always want to be like them to impress the boys. Also, the media and peer pressure force them to think that way. I, personally, don't really see the point in that either.

This is something which men tend to not understand. But for woman generally being thin is associated with being confident and successful. For me personally I have been at both ends I used to be overweight but went on a diet and lost a lot of weight. I noticed how when I was losing weight I constantly got complimented something which has continued now that I'm thinner. This is something which rarely happened when I was heavier.
