Why are we so concerned about Obama's credentials?

If you just take a long look back at the people who have run this Country before Obama, with all there experience and "credentials" this is what we end up with,a war that is costing us billions and killing our children, the highest gas prices ,we've ever had in this Country, food so high people are having to choose between eatting and paying the light bill and so on and so forth,Anyone that is'nt looking for change and cant recognize it when it hits you in the face is just plain crazy. For those who just dont like him based on looks or color,is not even worth replying to but give the man a chance ,You gave your Boy Bush two and now you're complaining and crying when you should have been doing that before you made him your President, even with all his "credentials and experience"!Oh and Hilary who???

Seems to me that the only past president you're looking at is Bush. History goes back a little longer than that. However, you are right in one aspect, Bush was not qualified to run a country as complicated as ours, the most influential in the world. So in a way we can see what happens when OJT is tried for the highest post. Won't we be reliving the same nightmare? Only on the other party's watch? But the only alternative is suicidally insane.

Of course, if the people with the credentials have a hard time getting things right, it's time to try somebody without credentials.
(I'm not really saying Obama has no credentials; that was your phrasing not mine.)

Back in the 70's, they cried out the same things! Have you ever heard of the saying, "The more things change, the more they stay the same." 30 years ago, there were huge gas lines, people stealing and fighting over who was in line at the pumps first. Food prices began to rise and they still are 30 years later. Oh, and we are just in a different war. As for people who have to choose between lights and food, well, those are the people that are on welfare, and they choose to spend their money on cigs and beer and dope. I know people like that, ok? So, don't blame the economy on their plight because they choose their circumstances. They were this way before Bush came into office. It would be awesome if someone would actually follow through with their promises of "change", but seriously, we already have a democratic congress and senate, so what else can Obama do? I know, I've read his "blueprint" for America -- sounds good, but anyone can write that stuff and speak it. This is where credentials come in. If you are going to talk the talk, you better be able to walk the walk. That is just how it is in America, and so far, Obama is all just talk and no walk.
