Why are we, as voters, neglecting this election?

I don't think it's fair for McCain to be called a 'coward', 'liar', 'troublemaker', etc. I am not blaming Obama for any of this media hooplah either. What I am concerned about is the fact that most of the public is failing to realize that all the media circus and public reaction surrounding the debate is much ado about nothing. I think it might be well to ask yourself, "What if Obama called for a delay to the upcoming debate?". The reaction would most likely be the same criticisms from the Republicans.

I don't buy into the 'Country First' mantra. What I do see are two able candidates who are both willing to help their country. We need to stop politicizing this economic crisis and solve it.

This national security debate will go on sooner or later, what is important right now is that both candidates are present on Capitol Hill - not to insert themselves into the forefront of the debate, but rather to show the American public their legislating-in-action. Think of this as the ultimate test, where the American public can see these two legislate under the microscope instead of campaign smears and talking points.

Can't we all as voters, focus on the issues instead of circuitous criticisms?
