Why are TV news scripts pink and blue?

On the TV news, I have noticed that the scripts are printed on pink and blue paper. I thought perhaps the pink scripts would be for the female anchor and the blue for the male anchor. However, I see the anchors reading both the pink and the blue scripts regardless of gender. So why are they printed on pink and blue paper?
 
I used to work at a TV station that would print its scripts onto one grouping of multi-colored paper. The green would go to the director, yellow to the audio control operator, pink to the anchor...and so on. It's just an easy way to seperate scripts for everyone who needs them without them getting mixed up (often scripts are printed just 10-20 minutes before a live newscast, so there needs to be a quick and fool-proof system).
However, each station often has their own system of handling scripts, so they may have their own reasons for the pink and blue scripts.
