Why are these "wars*" taking longer to fight than both ww1 and ww2?

We are pulling out of Iraq, the wrong war.
We are re-concentrating on Afghanistan, the right war.

It took too long because Bush pulled assets out of Afghanistan to invade Iraq.
AND NEVER DID ANOTHER THING RIGHT AFTER THAT.
