When it is projected that John McCain, at the age of 72, has an average life expectancy of 12 more years?? It is not only probable, but highly probable that he'll serve his entire term in office

C Bar: McCain has said he will serve ONE term

We are not whining.

I am just sad that people think a good mom allows her 17 year old to drink, do drugs, get knocked up by a "f**king redneck", then pretend like everything is ok and wants you to vote for her.

Its a tactic by the same old republican tricks.

-Obama '08

because he has had cancer.and i dont want that Pentecostal nut job running this country

Because she is ultra conservative, more so than McCain.

Because many people will ignore the issues and vote for her because she is a hockey mom with cute glasses.

Because she is a newbie from Alaska who just got her passport a year ago.

Even if McCain lives, people get dementia at his age...surely this could lead to some excellent decision making.

Palin is scarier than McCain.

Because they are using the same strategy introducing her that the administration used to push the Iraq war. No one is allowed to question McCain's decision in choosing her or whether she endorses policies that Americans may disagree with. The are attempting to bully the media and create an atmosphere of false victimization.

EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTS her / DOESN'T support her LOOK AT THIS

I point out why you shouldn't

I try to look at stuff independently, yet you still get crazy radicals from both sides arguing

Because they know Obama doesn't stand a chance so they have to find some other way to try to convince others that McCain isn't a good choice... I know it's a poor reason they resorted to, but hey, we're talking about the liberals here.

McCain-Palin 08

These days most Pres serve two terms. 8 years. The stat you quoted means one half of the people in McCain's position live less than 12 years. That leaves a very decent chance that if McCain is elected, his Vice President will be elevated to the Presidency.

Not a sure thing, but a very real chance. Especially since McCain has had recurrent melinomas, and because a person does not have to die to become functionally unable to fulfill one's duties as President.

This means that it actually matters who McCain chooses as VP. And it is a pity he did not choose someone who doesn't claim as her only foreign policy experience that she can see Russia from parts of her state. Among other failures of experience and knowledge.

NOTE: McCain has NOT said he will serve one term.

"He was more categorically opposed to the idea of running for one term when he was asked about it at a Fox News candidates’ forum in January.

”No, because I think then you’re the lame duck, you’re quacking on Inauguration Day,” he said. ”But look, I would point out that when Ronald Reagan won the Cold War, he was in his second term older than me. I think that’s pretty good, isn’t it? Look, I’ve got the vigor. I’ve been - everybody has seen me here on the campaign trail. We work 16, 18 hours a day.”

You have no idea what his projected life expectancy is when his health factors are figured in, and neither does the Chicago Tribune. The truth is that the Republicans are so desperate to beat Obama that they are willing to take those odds that he will remain healthy and that Palin doesn't wake up as the new President someday with a nuclear crisis on her hands. Yet they have the nerve to accuse Democrats of not caring enough about the security of this country. And leave it to a Republican to call caring about the welfare of your country "whining."
