Why are some people proud that they are 100% English and have no other culture in...

...their family history? A lot of people say that they are proud you can trace their family history and see that their family have been in England for 1000's of years and that they are proud of this fact, but I find this a bit boring and would like to have more of a melting pot family history with ancestors from different countries and cultures. My mum is doing my family tree and has so far traced back to the 1570's and discovered that all my ancestors where English Protestants and lived in the same town in Devon and although I am proud to be English I do find my family's history a bit boring.

but EVERYONE has different cultures in their family.

alot of tha slaves were raped by tha plantation owners.

so were that native americans by tha europeans
