While I was out on the razzle last night I bumped in to a little clique new to one of my favourite watering holes. They seemed obsessed by the sexuality of celebrities and people known to the public to one degree or another. Among the hot topics of conversation were suspicions that Kylie Minogue might be a lesbian and the possibility that David Cameron was in the proverbial closet.
To be honest I couldn't care less about which way Kylie and Cameron swing, but what did strike me as a bit odd was the extent to which these individuals seemed fascinated by it all. They all assured me they were Straight when I asked them if they were bent themselves, but who knows, right?
So where does this fascination with the sexuality of others - specifically the "Rich and famous" - come from?
What is it all about?
Is it normal for supposedly heterosexual people to be so strangely interested in the homosexuality of those who might be called "clebrities"?
Any ideas?
