We live in an age where we haven't seen an absolute brand new genre (not sub genre) since maybe hip hop / rap and Electronica. Music these days is more about fusion of genres and creating a fresh sound from the result.
Being a both metal and post hardcore fan I see a lot of bickering on Youtube about what defines a particular genre. Why does it have to be set in stone. I believe a lot of good could come from people leaving there childish nonsense behind.
Thoughts, opinions, anybody?
