I am not elite and never have been military. Heck, the closest I have been is as a state employee serving the commonwealth of Va.
I just don't get the facisination that young guys and perhaps girls have with the elite community. I am wandering if its all just Alpha's that want to be called elite so much? It's usually the same I guess, the SEALS, Delta, Marine Recon, PJ, Combat Controller, Sniper, and anti terror task forces(which includes SEAL Teams, and Delta i think).
Is the elite all its cracked up to be?

And to ammend...yes the Ranger, SpecOps, and Green Beret - force multipllier...I'm sure there are even scarier guys then them out there too. My hats off to you! And yes, I'd want the highly trained surgeon.
