Why are Republican supporters generally less educated?

the less educated you are, the more easily someone can fill your empty head with lies an propaganda.
and I mean empty head in a respectfull way- like empty canvas

It seems to me that the common or garden variety Republican supporter confuses rhetoric and sanctimony for actual knowledge or intellectual insight. This holds true of their leaders and officials (though admittedly most of these have attended university - even some good ones).
