...they likely lost was Lidge? You seriously think on short rest he would have pitched 9 innings and given up less than 3 runs? I seriously doubt it. He would have probably pitched about 6 like Blanton and given up the same amount of runs.
I'm sure you all would just find some other stupid excuse to be mad about even if he had pitched Lee and they lost.
 
Well said. They would have found some other excuse they aren't winning. Why not put some blame on Ryan Howard, afterall, how many times has he struck out during the series?

Im a Yankee fan & I was whinning about the Phillies not pitching Lidge. But you gotta give Blanton his due he actually pitched pretty darn well. Also yes I expect Lee to pitch better tonight that Blanton did last night. I expect another pile up of strikeouts & a boat load of ugly looking swings from the Yankes. I doubted Lee's ability in game 1 but I am not making that mistake again!
