Why are people who boom their car stereos such losers?

Do they actually think that they are being some sort of "rebel"?

Anyone who does that is obviously insecure, weak, scared, and unintelligent. So why do they do it?
 
For attention. Same reason people have mind blowingly loud exhaust. It's a simple human need, exaggerated by people with false or dangerously low self esteem. Then on the other hand, there are those that simply do it because they like it and "the hell with everyone else."
