real? I know it's generalizing, but generally speaking, that's exactly the way it is. And I can't figure out why. Is it because the issue was mistaken for a political one because of Gore's involvement? Is it because believers just don't buy ANYTHING that has a scientific foundation of fact? What is it? I can't figure it out.
Rene, thanks for illustrating the point. Note I didn't use the "global warming" term you were programed to respond to with that statement.

Evidence points towards global warming, which is occuring at a faster rate then normal. It's also following the typical pattern, albeit at a greater speed. Weather changes, climate changes, ice caps melting, etc.

However religion has become increasingly political, and as a result many religious people blindly believe whatever their religious leaders/politicians tell them.
 
People are able to follow a number of paths that indirectly connect the issues. Sometimes it is nothing more than listening to people who agree with you on another issue.
 
Your mistake is to ask a good question and then ruin it by suggesting that Christians are anti-science. It is possible to see a different, scientific, reason for something.
The new way to argue is to say someone is "scientific", only if they believe the way your side believes.
