Why are people so willing to be whipped into a fury by the media?

The papers say Connelly 'may' be released in 3 years and she 'may' be given a new identity. They talk up her letters fantasising about travel as though she would ever actually have the finances or even the gumption to get off her fat ar5e wherever they eventually place her on her release, whenever that may be.

It's all speculation, but it gets everyone up in arms - why? Whatever fantasies she may be using to distract herself from the vast gaping emptiness of her soul are just that - pure fantasy.

Your thoughts?
EDIT - for one thing it's all speculation, as I say, and for another, what about the other several dreadful child murders that have occurred since that haven't had nearly the level of media attention?
 
Maybe - just maybe - Skidoo, because the abuse and torture of a child is a highly emotive subject.
 
james bulgers killers walked away from a heinous crime with new identities never to be heard from again they too used to write letters of fantasy were they would love to go when they were released what they would like to do with there lives then some bleeding heart came along and acted upon the best interests of the person and gave them new id and a clean slate the same will happen to connolly a do gooder will come along and give her all her wantings on a gold plated platter
 
i would feel weird if i wasnt angry about this happening in our world? do you have kids? if this, god forbid, happened to your family wouldnt you want justice and the whole world to kill these fkin bastrds
 
I dont believe any of these ''fantasies'' any more.
No other country is going to take her and isnt there the small problem that most countries such as US or Canada (where Steven Barker reckons he is going to go and live hunting deer or some such nonsense) do not allow entry to those with a serious criminal record.
However I suspect the fury felt by most people is fury towards those who committed this vile abuse against little Peter and would feel it whether the papers told them to or not.
 
because it has happened before , and people are sick of scum committing hideous crimes and then getting assistance from the tax payer to get a better life than hard working , decent people
 
She will be released one day, and the disturbing thing is, and i think the media is right on this occasion, that the possibility, the sheer possibility! exists for these people to live a life financed by the public! they can protect these monsters but they couldnt protect the little boy who so OBVIOUSLY needed help! she will get a new identity, probably accomodation paid for and police protection! just reported that this could run into millions a year! this money should be spent on training social workers and helping the vulnerable people in society! civilised society - pah, what a joke. to be a part of, and protected by, a civilised society u must be a civilised human being, not a cold blooded sadist.

hopefully this will lead to a change in priorities but i doubt it.

This is all the more reason that these sub humans should stay in prison till the day they die either that or bring back the death penalty for these disgusting crimes. There is no question that they committed this evil murder as there is no reason why those bastards, Huntley and the rest of them should not be disposed of permanently.
 
i think anything & everything about her brings to mind Peter's little face which is enough to make anyone with an ounce of feeling want to go right up to her & shake her hard.....to put it very lightly.
 
Well Skidoo, seeing as this is England, and we all know how great our legal system is, I'm surprised she hasn't been made Minister For Children, or the new This Morning presenter.
