a newspaper? What prevents people from actually doing research on a topic, or opening a book? Why don't they go to the authentic sources? Are we really like sheep, being led wherever the media wants us to go?

Thinking, especially for oneself, is hard work. Most people do not like to think for themselves, that's why it is easier to follow like sheep what is in the newsmedia. So yes, most of us are really like sheep, willingly but blindingly following someone else's agenda for life and yet crying liberty from the rooftops and street corners. It's all good for the spin doctors and media moguls.

Speak for youself - I read the News of the World, but I regard it as a comic.
