Why are news organizations politically sided anyway?

They are biased because we are. They want us to watch. If you want fair and balanced try PBS. That isn't me being a smart@$$ it just the truth. PBS has excellent news and all of the bs is taken out. Publicly funded means less pandering to viewers. They don't give a crap about ratings so news people there report the news.

That's what happens when all the media is owned by 6 or 7 massive conglomerates and 70% of journalists identify themselves as liberal
Fox News is an arm of the Republican Party and its "news" is strictly right wing propaganda. MSNBC has become a liberal outlet to counter Rupert Murdoch's fascism. The problem is, they tend to be almost as one-sided and doctrinaire as Fox is. CNN tends to take a middle of the road approach and is why I prefer to watch it.
