why are my photos showing up as 0 bytes?

i have a motorola rokr z6m and i took photos off of it and put them on my computer and it says they are 0 byte files and cannot be viewed, is there a program i can get to fx this? or is there something i can do to make it work? The phone no longer has service so i cant send a picture message and i dont have bluetooth on my computer. i only got a usb cord. please any help would be much appreciated
