You need to get a bigger tank. As we speak, high ammonia and nitrite levels in that 2 gallons of water are slowly poisoning your fish. Its not a good nor long life for a fish to be constantly in water with high levels of toxins. Get rid of the ryukins and get a betta for the 2 gallon.

I have two Ryukin Goldfish, and I have them both in I think a 2 gallon tank with a filter. I just got the tank a few months ago, but lately I've been having to clean the tank every 4-6 days. Is there anything I can do so I don't have to clean it this often, it seems a little ridiculous, especially with the filter.

well for those two fish you need at loeast a 30 gallon tank with a filter double this. even with that you have to change water weekly. tbh if you find it ridiculous you shouldnt have brought them, either take them back and get a betta/siamese fighting fish or buy a new tank. your fish will not live long in that tank.

First of all ONE goldfish has to be in atleast a TWENTY gallon tank. Thats only one. Get a 30 gallon used tank (they are the same and much cheaper) and a 40-50 gallon filter. Goldfish are the very messy.

Get a bigger filter and tank. Goldfish are messy and get big.

Next time shoot for a 30 gal and get filtration rated for 50+ gallons.

even with a filter the average tank needs a weekly water change and the fact that goldfish are very messy fish which makes you having to change it more ofter its just normal so there is nothing more you can do.
