Why are my car's floorboards wet?

The passenger side back and front floorboards in my 2007 Toyota Matrix are SOAKED and smell horrible. It can't be from rain as where i live i get rain maybe once every 2 months. I believe the air conditioner is leaking since it started happening when i first used the "Recycle Air" option. So could it be my air conditioner? Maybe the drain hose is loose but where is it on a 2007 Toyota Matrix?
Any help at all is greatly appreciated!
