I recently inherited an iphone 3G. I have att.net email address through AT&T uverse. The incoming mail server is pop.att.yahoo.com, and outgoing is smtp.att.yahoo.com. I have used this address with Outlook 2007 for years with no problems. I am able to send email from my iphone. Incoming emails show up in my inbox on my iphone -- but only for a few seconds. Then they literally disappear from the inbox altogether (they remain in my outlook inbox). However, my iphone trash folder shows my deleted emails and they are also in my iphone sent box. However, not the iphone inbox. It is not a problem with the iphone itself (I tried adding other email accounts from different servers and it works fine). I have had AT&T staff work on it, and also called Apple tech support. The conclusion is that it's a problem with the yahoo server. I was informed by AT&T and Apple that lots of people are complaining about the yahoo server. What needs to happen to fix this?
