I bought a 10 gallon aquarium about a year ago and set it up (I filled it with no sodium, dechlorinated drinking water) to put fish in. I let it sit without fish for about three days and then added 8 guppies with a heater that kept the tank around 73 degrees. within a month i was left with only 2 fish. Not soon after, those fish also died.
Recently I reset my fish tank doing the exact same setup as before, but this time put two 2 in. gold fish in the tank and no heater. Within two weeks, both fish died one after the other. I'm feeding the fish the recommended food type and amount and even watched them to make sure they ate. Why is this continuing to happen? please let me know so that I can set my tank up again.

you could check the ph level it may be to acidic or not acidic enough
that could be one posibility
ummm
that could be a posssiblity
but if u hav checked that ask a fish shop type person!

I'm assuming there is a water filtration system? Try checking the ph level of the water. Do you have an algae eater or placossamis sp?
