Why are many Occultists Poets or Many Poets Occultists? Can you name a few of both?

Hint: --occultist: The study of the supernatural. A belief in occult powers and the possibility of bringing them under human control.
Occult 1. Of, relating to, or dealing with supernatural influences, agencies, or phenomena. 2. Beyond the realm of human comprehension; inscrutable. 3. Available only to the initiate; secret: occult lore.
 
Because symbolism is important to both groups. You cannot create a complex poem without turning a chain of events into another thing that speaks of it's esscence. The same applies for occultism, where you reduce ideas into symbols, visual, olfactory, or audible , to represent what you mean in a way that it is not conciously decoded, but is apparent to the part of your brain that recognizes it.

My answer would be that "Occultists" have a lot to say, as well having very strong emotions, a poetic thought pattern, and a very unusual outlook on life. "Occult" belief systems are significantly more complex and mysterious than mainstream religions, and "Occultists" like to write what they have learned, what they want to learn, and what they see that others don't. They put it down in the only way they can think of that gives it more life, meaning, and beauty. The only way that -almost- does it justice. Poetry.

...and not 'many' of them are Occultist.

Walk a little further
Say more than a simple 'Hello'
Step outside your binding flesh
As others you get to know
Do not take for granted
Deeming all ways are just like yours
Open your ears, Open your mind
Thus, you will open more doors
